Packing light for a week is mostly a math problem: limit duplicates, make everything mix-and-match, and reserve space for what you can’t easily replace. Start with a carry-on that meets your airline’s size rules, then build a simple capsule wardrobe around one color palette and a single pair of versatile shoes.
Aim for 3 tops + 2 bottoms + 1 layering piece (light jacket or cardigan) + 1 nicer outfit option. Pick fabrics that resist wrinkles and dry quickly so you can re-wear items without looking rumpled.
Instead of packing seven of everything, pack 4–5 underwear and socks, then do a sink wash once mid-trip. Bring a small travel detergent sheet or decant a little detergent into a leakproof bottle.
Wear your bulkiest shoes on travel day and pack only one additional pair (or none, if your itinerary allows). Choose one outer layer that works for most temperatures by combining a light jacket with a compact base layer.
Group items by category in one or two cubes to prevent “just-in-case” creep. For toiletries, stick to TSA-friendly sizes, use solids when possible (bar shampoo/soap), and skip full-size backups.
Put essentials in your personal item: charger, meds, a pen, headphones, a reusable water bottle (empty for security), and one thin layer. This keeps your carry-on uncluttered and your must-haves accessible.

Pack 3–4 core outfits you can rotate, plus one dressier option if needed. Re-wear bottoms and layers, and rely on one quick laundry session to reset basics.
